I raise mealworms to supplement roaches and crickets for my reptiles. Mealworms don't really need much. Keep a plastic bin and just put oatmeal or flour as the substrate. Throw in some vegetables daily and remove if not eaten. They'll morph into larvae, then into beetles. Leave the beetles so they can reproduce. Feed when there's too many. Very simple to raise and a nice nutrient source. Can be loaded.
