These are an important part of any reptile's diet and quite possibly may be a requirement for bearded dragons. I doubt I would recommend even considering keeping any type of medium sized lizard without having a cricket culture going.
They are so easy to keep, sweet water and the occasional protein treat of any kind is all that is needed to keep a culture going, well - a heat lamp if it is very cold out and the box is outdoors. Sometimes they are such a pain to have to listen to all the time but on some nights- their fiddling can be soothing. I suppose this depends on the mood of things.
Now if we're talking about going fishing!! Yeah man, take the crickets and the worms as backup for sure! It's generally not too difficult to get a mess of bream using just crickets and finding a sweet spot full of crappie will also bring big rewards with crickets!
Yes, sir! Crickets are very important to have around a farm.
I've even seen where crickets have been used to make edible flour for human consumption.. I just don't know about that!!
