Have a box with air holes, dirt, a plant and a mug laying on its side? There you go, you have a snail habitat! Now add fresh fruit and vegetables in small amounts every other day (every day if hot and humid), a bit of cuttlefish bone (and water if your type of snail likes it), and it is perfect! (Remember to water the plant!) Most of us can pick snails in our garden, and you can't be allergic to these guys. I find snails EXTREMELY interesting to watch, so when I finally found the space for an old aquarium that couldn't hold water anymore, I jumped at the chance of having some of these in the house. Caution: two can become many very quickly.
