Acquired: Pet store

Fiddler Crabs are the last pet I had ever considered owning, but searching the fish section of a local grocery store I noticed two of these creatures stuffed into super tiny jars and my heart went out to them. After some research into their environment, I created a habit that consisted of a salt and freshwater, sand and a water heater. They are relatively inexpensive to care for with a bottle of mixed water costing me just 1.79$ and the food is cheap as well, with a diet of algae pellets and dried shrimp. They are amazingly docile creatures, even though the male has an overly large pinched I have yet to be pinched by it, even when I am handling him. It is recommended to have one bull, or male, for every three females. The males seem to “dance” when they are hungry, waving their claw back and forth in the air. Its hours of amusement and the filter sounds are as soothing as a fish tanks. One of the best semi-aquatic animals I have ever owned.
