The Emperor Scorpion....

These scorpions are probably the most recognizable. They may look intimidating and YES they have venom in those stingers and very large pincers. The truth is they're not as bad as you might think. This isn't typically an aggressive species and dare I say they seem to have a calm demeanor. Even with all this, I will say, if you are careful and have experience, this is one amazing animal to keep. If you have always wanted a scorpion and have done your research, this is a great one.
Emperor scorpions live in MOIST forest areas. 78 degree F to 85 degree F is ideal and humidity levels 60% to 80%.
Always provide a shallow water dish and they will readily devour prey. Provide a variety of insects.
Substrate: I've used cypress mulch, coconut bark, you can add live plants to help keep humidity up. Remember to keep it clean and they need hides, slabs of cork bark or larger reptile hides work well.
If you are looking for a cuddly animal this is not for you. They do have venom and people react to it differently, to be blunt, handle at your own risk.
