this Costa Rican species is a fast grower-goin from spiderling to adult in around 2 years. they are beautiful spiders who are constantly inproving there home(webbing) and often displayed. they are opportunistic burrowers so require 6-8" of substrate. the tiger rump is docile, but skittish so therefore requires extra attention when handling. they rarely bite or even kick urticating hairs, but will give sudden bursts of action- sometimes running or jumping of the keepers hand. as to with handling all Ts- hold them close to the ground to take away the possibility of a "bad fall"
