Beautiful specimen. Voracious eaters, strong predatory response has them striking at nearly any movement in their vicinity. They begin to show adult colors very early, and grow rapidly. Reach an adult size of about 8-9". This is a nervous species, and as said before they are quick to strike. This is not a species for beginners, nor one that is recommended for handling. They are usualy out and about making them very visible, and great vivarium display animals. They need more humidity and higher temps the most tarantulas. They are generaly inexpensive to acquire, and frequently offered by breeders. They are nearly indistinguishable from A geniculata.
