Avicularia Versicolor

By

The A.Versicolor is a colorful and fascinating Tarantula. Spiderlings start out as a beautiful black and electric blue and as they grow more colors emerge. They are docile, but fast/jumpy and can be difficult to handle, not that I recommend handling. They do have fangs, as do all tarantulas. They require high humidity, but it's important to keep the enclosure well ventilated. I have several of these tarantulas, they eat insects, roaches, crickets, super worms, moths, etc... Spiderlings require small food, such as pinhead crickets and wingless fruit flies. I love to watch these tarantulas grow and change colors. I know not everyone is a fan of these creatures, but they should all be respected.
