The Lipizzan is a breed of horse closely associated with the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, Austria, where they demonstrate the "high school" movements of classical dressage. Commonly know as the "airs above the ground" movements. This breed is amazing to school on. The unbelievable brilliance of this horse can be instantly felt as soon as you mount. It is literally like your performing ballet during your dressage schooling. Higher maintenance than the normal quarter horse, this breeds seems to spook a little more while not working. Needs more maintenance supplements do to high performance demands.
