Clover (Trifolium) is a cool season perennial legume which has long been used as an animal feed. Clover which is used as hay or silage may contain a mold compound called dicoumarol, which can cause Sweet clover poisoning.
Orchard Grass (Dactylis glomerata L.) is a perrenial, cool season bunchgrass. Orchardgrass can be used for pasture, hay, green chop, or silage.
Clover and Orchard Grass are often harvested together into hay bale feed.
