The Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) Test is one of the most widely used tests for diagnosing the presence of the microscopic intestinal parasite Giardia in an animal's feces.

In an ELISA test, a liquid / wet sample from the patient (blood, urine, feces etc.) is placed on an assay plate, and a biochemical process detects the presence of antibodies which are specific to a condition.
