Turkey Cryptosporidiosis

Cryptosporidiosis is an infectious condition caused by the microorganism Cryptosporidium. Cryptosporidium infections are caused when animal comes into contact with the feces of another animal who is infected with Cryptosporidium. Cryptosporidiosis is not egg transmitted.

Cryptosporidiosis is found in livestock like sheep and cattle, and can also infect domestic animals, and humans. In turkeys, a Cryptosporidiosis infection can cause diarrhea and respiratory problems. Cryptosporidiosis is a more serious condition for turkeys than for chickens.
