Fleas are a great example of how sometimes the smallest creatures can create the biggest problems for dogs, and their owners.
Flea bites can be more than just an annoyance, they can lead to serious allergic skin problems like
Flea Allergy Dermatitis. Fleas can also be hosts to parasites like tapeworm.
In this section, we're focusing on flea prevention and control - and not the specific health problems they can create. Unfortunately, there are so many kinds of flea products on the market, that it all seems terribly complicated.
The good news is that it's really not.
1. Figure out what kinds of pests your dog has. Does your dog just have fleas? Or do you live in an area where your dog can also pick up ticks?
2. Fnd the type product that works for your pests.
3. Decide if you prefer to use all-natural products, or is you're ok with an insecticide product.
4. Choose the application that's easiest for you - chewable tablets, liquid drops, sprays, shampoos etc.
