Tiretrack, more like escape artist

I had a tiretrack eel for about 2 years until it finally managed to escape the tank for good. I had atleast 10 episodes where I caught the little bastard crawling on the floor infront of the tank, trying to escape it seems out of the house. As with Fire Eels I do not recommend that you get one until you have a tank that is absolutely sealed. This guy grew quite large and became a good friend over the years, I could hand feed him and also make him come up to my hand so I could pet him. As with almost every other fish I have kept, he loved food and were pretty easy to care for, except that he tried to escape all the time!
