Pleco Algae Eater

The Pleco you see more often after its dark. They don't too much other than feed on algae and stay hidden often if possible. Although they are very still, and unenergetic, they swim very fast and will fin you if you scare them. Whether they are good with other algae eaters or other species is really up to the size of aquarium. The one I have did great with turtles and another algae eater like him, only because they had a huge tank giving them their space. They are easy to feed being as you can toss in a few algae thins, but they dont eat a variety of food. Cleaning the aquarium is pretty easy, and they don't make a mess. Be careful though of the fish you choose to co-exist with them because they can be aggressive.
