Fish / pet store

I have owned these scarlet reef hermit crabs since day one in any saltwater aquarium, in both my fish only systems and my reef aquariums. These crabs are a nice small addition as they are mostly bright red and really stand out from the rest of the live stock. I feel like they give your tank a more natural ocean look. They are pretty peaceful to all corals, and fish although I do not recommend them to be with very slow moving fish as in some rare occasions they have been able to catch and kill fish. They also tend to knock over rock work and corals which is pretty frustrating to most hobbyist. Though, with a nice solid rock scape and corals glued down there should be no more issue. As far as feeding, they don't really need it if your aquarium is establish, as they eat left behind fish food, detrius, and almost every kind of algae. This is the main reason why I keep these hermit crabs in my aquariums, they eat the nuisance, ugly algae, like red slime that all hobbyist hate. Definitely have these hermit crabs part of your clean up crew! Excellent cleaners!
