Rope Fish

The first time I saw this fish I was 4 years old and they were squirming towards me at an isle in a pet store and I thought they were snakes. I ended up working at the store and every day at least two would manage to get out. I've never seen a fish that knew how to get out of the aquarium that well. I reccomend keeping tight zero spaces for them to fit through, Shallow Water and an internal filter. I've had other bichir's and none have gotten out of tanks as easily as these guys. Most Bichir eels get bigger and hold their ground when it comes to territory. Reed fish stay small and are very timid and a lot of fish like barbs, cichlids, and some tetra pick on them. If you feed them feed them frozen foods with the lights out. And if their are other tank mates feed them first.
