The first thing I wanna say about this fish is that it’s too picky with food. I had two of them for three or four months. They didn’t eat anything but frozen food. One of them had a red breast, the other didn’t. Still don’t know which one was the male. Beautiful shape, but the colors are not bright at all. They kept hiding most of the day between our plants and get out of there only to feed. And during feeding, when frozen food was on the menu, they attacked anyone trying to eat some of it. I have to tell you though that beside that, they both were very calm. During these months, the non-red breast one got sick. Something appeared on his mouth don’t know what. We gave them to a friend of ours, and he had some kind of liquid medicine that threw in the water once every 3 days. The fish got a lot better. I can’t say that I recommend it to anyone. It’s an expensive choice (both to buy and to maintain) .
