These are such an interesting type of fish! They are beautiful and very dependant on their surroundings. They are peaceful and will not generally be aggresive to other fish, even smaller fish. What makes them so interesting is the way that their colours change depending on their mood and which other fish around them.

The male of the species generally have brighter shades of red, however this can be dependent on whether or not there are females around them! The males also like to be in groups and so you should always have at least five males together and some females to get the most of these fish.

They are strong fish that are not susceptible to many diseases and live on typical store bought fish food. The key to remember with Red Rainbow fish is, the happier you keep them, the brighter and more beautiful they will be!
