Tetras!

Neon Tetras are one of my favorite freshwater fish mainly because of their schooling nature and beautiful colors. Tetras do much better in groups of four or more, and become sickly when alone or in small groups. They also have wonderful colors, primarily blue and red, which reflect light well when they swim. Tetras are a great tank mate to many different species and will live peacefully with them. They are also extremely hardy and cheap, making them good starter fish or fish for small children.
Tetra schools must be kept in a slightly larger tank so they have room to swim as a group. I would recommend at least a gallon per fish as a bare minimum. Doing this will allow them to school, in turn, keeping them healthy. Tetras are avid eaters and will not be picky when it comes to food and are also very hardy, surviving minor temperature changes. This makes them a good pet for owners who cannot be home all the time or who have other obligations. These are an awesome fish species and come highly recommended by me
