These fish are beautiful, no doubt about it. They are probably my favorite fish to see in a fish tank. It's a shame that they don't always get along with their own species (or others with long fins for that matter). If you find a pair that has already bonded, good! Also, like any fish, putting fish of similar size together is always a good idea. As a general rule you should always expect a larger fish to go after a smaller one.
These guys like space, and a big tank with some vegetation and a couple of angelfish is a really beautiful sight. Like with all fish, you have to be careful about how much you feed them and take care of the water conditions of the tank, especially temperature. I don't know why, but people seem to think that room temperature is fine for these guys and unless you keep your house really warm, it just isn't.
