I think these guys are a neccesity in just about any Lake Malawi tank. They get along great with other Haps, and Mbuna. They will typically dominate a tank full of Haps, and might even dominate a tank full of Mbuna from time to time. They are extremely active. I suggest not keeping them in a tank with a breeding pair of fish because they are exceptional at eating small fish, and fry. They devour most foods, and love live fish. What it lacks in appearance it makes up for in character.
