Honey Sunset Gourami

By

Illinois, United States

Posted Apr 16, 2012

The Honey, or Honey Sunset, Gourami is a more peaceful
species of gourami. While they can still be fin-nippers, they tend to be more
subdued and less territorial. They reach about 4 inches, and so fall between
the dwarf gourami and standard size gourami.

Honey Sunset Gourami are not particularly sensitive to
changes in PH, water chemicals, or temperature, but can be prone to sensitivity
to heavy metals in the water. span
gourami also possesses the labyrinth organ, an organ that enables it to gulp
air directly from the surface of the water.
