Guppies were my first fish. My first-grade teacher sent everyone in the class home with a few and I happened to receive one that was pregnant. Flash forward a little bit and suddenly I had tons of them. I was thrilled, my mother not so much.
They lived for quite a long time though we quickly learned that guppies are liable to eat their babies and they need to be separated. All around they were a superrrrr easy breed to take care of and are great for kids.
