Acquired: Breed species myself

Guppies are not typically considered a very glamorous fish, and yet out of all the fish I have owned they have, by far, been my favorite. They are very easy to take care of, can come in very striking colors, and don't require a lot of work.
When I first purchased a couple guppies, a few boys and a few girls. I vastly underestimated their breeding powers and I soon had dozens of guppies. Purchasing a few frogs helped the issue while still allowing a good number of the babies to survive.
I was very impressed with the different color patterns the guppies developed. I especially loved the yellow ones. They were also very easy to take care of. A basic filter and heater system was more then enough. I never had any problems with the guppies getting along with each other or other fish in the aquarium with them.
Guppies are definitely a good beginner fish or good fish for children to take care of. They are very pretty and require less work then most other fish. Overall, I loves the guppies I owned and have every intention of owning more of them in the future.
