I don't currently own any angel fish and have no intent to purchase any. Let me just say that these fish are by far the most beautiful. My grandfather had an enormous tank that contained a variety of angel fish. The main reason I'm not interested in the angel fish is because I recall how much work and attention they required. First of all, they require so much room if you want them to grow and develop. They are picky eaters and you have to really know your fish to get them fed. Sometimes they just wouldn't eat and would cause their own illness. Very delicate creatures with such a unique shape. They have "wings" like angels...another perfectly assigned name for these fish! They need just the right filtration because when you consider their shape, they are not great swimmers and it can be hard for them to swim against too much of a current from filters. Although extreme maintenance required...if you have the time and energy, these fish look stunning in a large scale aquarium!
