Giant Danio's are always moving. They are real hardy as well. They are one of the best starter fish available. Just know that they are ferocious eaters. So if you have fish that like to take their time looking for food there is a good chance that they might suffer. Also I've noticed they are fin nippers, But fin nipping can be avoided by keeping them in schools of at least 5 and keeping the water below the recommended 78 degrees.
