Fantail Goldfish - Hard To Keep

If you've read any of my other reviews, you'll see that I have had a lot of animals. This is another one of those situations where an animals previous owner didn't take proper care of them and I took them in.

Let me just start off by saying that I find fish fascinating. Especially Fantail Goldfish. There is something majestic about the way they swim and flow through the water that makes it hard for you to take your eye off of them.

On the other hand, Fantail Goldfish are actually a lot harder to take care of than you think. To be honest, they are a little gross. (in my opinion) This was really the first time I had taken care of a fish and I never really thought about how their tanks were cleaned - but every time I had to clean the tank, my experience was less than pleasant.

Due to an increase in school hours, my local pet shop owner took it in and put it with the rest of his fish (as his house). He had more experience with the fish so it made sense.

Personally, I wouldn't get another fish. Especially a Fantail Goldfish, unless you have had them before or are ready for the task.
