This is an exciting fish to watch! Digging and sifting in the sand, sending sprays of sand up over his head in the water, occasionally chasing or confronting other fish in the tank. Not terribly aggressive, but once in a while, there is an altercation. This fish is an algae eater, and he sure does earn his keep. He NEVER stops cleaning his reef, with endless, awesome fervor. You only need one or two of these guys in your average living room reef tank. You want to have all rocks and other heavy objects in the tank placed VERY securely, very stable, as these Gobies can have a tendency to knock things over with their enthusiastic digging. They also will sometimes jump out of a tank that is not covered, so an owner should take care to make sure that this is not possible.
This gorgeous algae eater is sure to provide endless antics and amusement to your saltwater reef tank.
