Bolivian Ram

To get the best colouration out of the Bolivian Ram, you need to keep them in soft, slightly acidic water and feed them a varied diet. They are not as brightly coloured as the similar Dwarf Ram, which comes in a selection of additional colours such as golden, electric blue and long fin varieties.

Bolivian rams are relatively shy and should be given plenty of hiding places as well as some stones to spawn on. Keep in small groups, where pair bond will form for breeding, often remaining ‘faithful’ to these pairings.

A nice addition to a robust community tank, this cichlid will not give anyone much trouble.
