The blastomussa coral

I have owned the blastomussa coral for a few years now and love the addition to my reef. My blastomussa likes low flow and low light, as once I put under higher light it seems to close up and not want to open. As for feeding, liquid or powdered food seems to work fine, though, I sometimes feed it pieces of meat, like mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and pellets. This coral is very sensitive to low alkalinity levels so please stay on top of that. Other than that this coral is pretty hardy, and doesn't ask for to much. One thing for sure, very slow grower! In the few years I have owned this coral I have only got a couple of new polyps. Some like the slow growth they have, as the owner does not have to worry about them growing to rapidly and taking over. They also come in a big variety of colors, put this coral under actinic lighting watch the neon colors come out! Overall great , beautiful coral!
