My Betta Fish Experience

Fish of any kind are the best pets for apartment or dorm living, because they require little care and even less space. I like bettas because they come in a variety of colors and always interact with people. My current betta, Roland, is very friendly, to the point where he bumps against the bowl trying to get to you. He loves food, which is the hardest part about having a fish. You can only give them so much food, as their stomachs are small and you don't want to overfeed them and injure them. But they are very easy to care for and are obviously very quiet, so they're good pets for any first time owners or those without much room for an animal.
