Many folks only run across Sea Urchins is seaside curio shops or on restaurant menus, but (happily!) aquarists know better. Be they peaceful grazers or stealthy hunters, these well-armed invertebrates are surprisingly active and interesting, and often do quite well in captivity. All must be handled with care, as their venom can be potent enough to cause severe pain, or serious allergic reactions.
