Rightpet

The toy group includes tiny apartment-sized dogs bred for companionship and a cute appearance. Whether it's a Chihuahua peeping out of a celebrity's handbag or a toy Poodle in a rhinestone collar, these breeds project an aura of beauty and charm. Despite the name, these breeds are not toys that can be stuffed back in the handbag when you get bored. They are intelligent and, like any beautiful diva, they may develop their own opinions about the way the household should be run. Don't skimp on training, exercise, and play time.

Although many of these breeds are beloved apartment pets, some of them can be noisy. Also note that the line between the pure companion "toy" breeds and the smallest working breeds is a matter of debate. Depending on where you live, your country's kennel club may or may not classify your smaller dog as a "toy."
