I couldn't have asked for an easier dog to raise.
Haggis was maybe a bit naughty about chasing the neighbours' cats (but never harming them, just having a good old run and bark) and she liked to wade through every muddy puddle she could find and then whine about having a bath, but otherwise she was as easy as pie.
She used to herd the kids when they were little, fronting up to them whenever they played too rough or made too much noise. She never growled or bared her teeth though, just stood up to them and made them know who was boss.
Never a health problem, and grooming wise she needed very little done except for a summer clipping to keep her cool in the hot weather. Only as she became a little older lady did she sadly develop a tumour but we'd never a worry before that.
Friendly, loyal, and always the first one to greet me every time I came home from somewhere. Loved a nice tummy rub while sleeping half on your lap, half on the sofa cushions. A real lady, still very much missed.
