Our lovely staffy is a shar pei mix. We worried a little initially because shar pei's reputation is not so good as they were bred to be fighting dogs, but we couldn't have been more off base!
Our girl has picked up all the benefits of both breeds. She has the sweet, loving temperament of the staffy and the gorgeous face and quietness of the shar pei.
We are even able to bring her to work in our retail shop as she is so well behaved and good with people.
Positives: Quiet, gentle, easy to train, healthy, cuddly, loyal.
Negatives: A little anxious around other dogs (plenty of socialization at an early age recommended), some people might find her overly affectionate (licking, always hanging around).
