Missy is my grandmother's dog that I help take care of. A friend was about to take her to a kill-shelter when my grandmother offered to take her in. She's a sweet, exuberant dog with boundless energy. She doesn't really bark. Instead, she has a sort of scream/yodel. She is hyper-alert and every rustling in the trees by birds or squirrels sends her into full "let's go chase it" mode. She's an escape artist who has never a met a crate that she cannot find a way to open and/or dismantle. Missy doesn't really like playing with balls, but she loves to play with things that she can tear to shreds (ropes, stuffed toys, blankets). Even though she has a wild streak, she somehow still thinks that she is a lapdog. She has no problem jumping into whatever lap is available and making herself comfortable (even as the human beneath her squirms under her 30-something pound body). Missy has never met a stranger and will love whoever comes her way, whether that human, cat, or another dog wants it or not.
