Chico was another dog I fostered until he found the perfect home with someone very experienced with his breed.

Chico was a VERY vocal dog, if you are bothered by barking, do not go with this breed. I would recommend only if you have a house and some land around it that is fenced, because you will not be able to walk this breed enough, and Chico was no exception. They are only for experienced dog owners, who are disciplined enough to train this strong-willed, outgoing and independent breed. Chico needed a lot of training and work, since he hadn't fully learned to be obedient. However, he accelerated as a working dog, learning agility training. Chico bonded mostly with me, and not other family members, having a very strong urge to protect me, I recommend socializing frequently. Chico did OK with other dogs, so long as they were bigger than him and easy-going.

Chico was not good with young children, and I would recommend this breed only to families who have older children (teenagers).
