Our mini pin/chihuahua mix likes to be the center of attention. He wants to play fetch all day. He's very sweet, but if he gets bored, he's very destructive. He's chewed through leather purse straps, holes in blankets, and shreds plastic dinosaurs and other toys if they're left out. He also sneaks into my son's rooms to steal little stuffed animals. He likes to burrow under the blankets and cuddle. All in all he's a sweet and happy dog, but needs a lot of attention and exercise. We've had the most success with bully bones to keep him preoccupied with chewing. He was easily crate trained and feels comfortable there. He chases our cat, but has no malice towards her. She growls and he thinks she's playing with him. It's all running and noise. He's never bit her or hurt her. I think if she ever stood her ground and stopped growling at him, he would ignore her. He's learned commands "Leave it" (except for the cat) "Sit" (but only if it's a soft surface. He won't sit on the floor unless there's a pillow there) and will do "Down" if there's something he really wants. He comes when he's called and is very treat oriented.
