Beautiful Balls of Love

Let me preface this by saying, I typically dislike small dogs, even I love Malteses!

Through my rescue we took in a Mom and her two newborn puppies. We loved them so much my grandparents ended up adopting the mother and my parents cried when I found adoptive homes for the puppies. They were an absolute pleasure!

Malteses are sweet and absolutely beautiful. From my experience, they can be apprehensive around larger dogs. Momma Maltese would get growly until she became familiar. As with any dog, I think they would be fine around young children if it is in a controlled setting after proper training. Around strangers, again, they can be apprehensive. It is important to approach slowly and to allow them to get used to you.

Grooming is important for the breed! They will need to be groomed regularly. This is an expense to factor in before considering them as a pet.

In closing, beautiful sweet loving dogs perfect for apartment living, older individuals and anyone ready to paper a little fur ball!
