Lulu the Lhasa

Our family had already had a great experience with our first Lhasa, so when we decided to get a second pet, we thought another of the same breed would work out well.

While we loved Lulu very much, I suspect that she was a bit overbred, and we didn't have quite as positive an experience as we did with our first Lhasa, though she was still a great dog.

Lulu had a couple health and personality issues; she had problems with her eyelashes becoming ingrown repeatedly that eventually required surgery, and would have skin problems for much of her life as well. She also was a bit on the neurotic side, and not nearly as smart as other Lhasas that I have interacted with.

I still love Lhasas as a breed, and will likely continue to own them my whole life. Lulu was a fantastic little dog, and a perfect beta member of our pack.
