I cant judge every Labrador off of my first one, due to some unfortunate events. When she was a puppy neighborhood kids threw firecrackers in her outdoor kennel, since then, she never trusted anyone else besides the family. She was a great guard dog, but anytime someone else new came to the house, we had to put her in the back room, as she would sometime lash out in fear. However, she was a wonderful family dog and great with kids ! She passed at the age of 14, so she lived a very long healthy and happy life with our big back yard and daily goose chasing. This breed needs a lot of room to run and exert that energy!
