My parents bought Sasha, a Lab/Catahoula mix, when I was in high school. She was a bit hyper but was easily trainable and very sweet. She loved tug-of-war with Frisbees, rope toys, and on one occasion, one of my favorite shoes. She was a beautiful chocolate color with grey speckles. She was great with our cat, the neighbor’s dogs, and kids who played at the park we took her to for playtime. She was smart and knew commands like ‘sit’, ‘stay’, and ‘lay down’ in about a week. My parents both worked and I was going to school so she needed to be crate trained, which took a little bit longer because she had a little separation anxiety, but she learned in about four weeks. When I moved out of the house my parents gave her to a friend because they were downsizing, but for the time we had her she was a great companion dog and a good friend.
