Golden Retriever's are among the most friendly, easygoing, and intelligent dog breeds. These dogs are easy to train, and can be housebroken within a month, if training begins at a young age. They are an energetic breed, and need a large yard and lots of playtime. I would recommend this breed for those who are able to provide this type of dog with plenty of exercise, as they can get bored easily. Golden Retrievers are very friendly, and get along great with children. However, I would caution against letting very young children get too close, as some Golden's have a tendency to nip. Golden's can also be a bit loud, especially if they become spoiled, as they always expect to get their way. Overall, they make for lovely pets, they are among the most popular breeds for a reason.
