Samson, one of my German Shepherd males; is a beautiful, protective and attention loving animal. This particular male was the one pup that survived his litter of two. As a result I watched him diligently in his early months. He grew into being a beautiful dog and a strong protector of his household. With a pack of seven he has now become the leader, retiring his aged father Pepo.
Samson demonstrates a very keen sense of knowing when he should get attention. And if you are seemingly not rubbing him when he thinks you ought to, he will obstruct your path or puts his mouth on your fingers. He most definitely has a strong personality and knows when danger is eminent to his household; be it the rest of the pack as well as my family.
I fell in love with this breed at a tender age, as my father always had them around, they are great friends for adults and children alike and they are one of the most intelligent breeds. My life would not be the same without these animals, they have taught me how to love in a different way because they will not hesitate to give their lives for mine.
