The old saying is that a “Dog is man’s best friend,” and a German Shepard, Husky, Smooth Terrier mix is the proof. Energetic, playful, and smart are a few words I would use to describe this mixture.
This dog was like having an excited little brother. Where I went, he would go. If I was ready to play, he was there. He knew when to be quiet down and recognized when he was doing something he should not.
This type of dog, especially if a puppy, should receive significant affection, exercise, and some obedience training. They are very fast, can pull beyond expectation, and can read situations very well.
Mile long runs would be more than suitable. While capable of living in a small yard space, a larger space would be more suitable since they enjoy exploring and running. They will also guard the area well and the family. With proper obedience they will know how to respond in every situation.
If I had young children or a teenager I would want this dog at her or his side. Best choice of a friend. No. Best choice of a second family member.
