The family ho-BO round this place has got to go one of the family dogs. This liver and white colored so called 'gun dog' is afraid of loud noises, especially the howls of the Autumn winds. We got Jasper from a shelter at age 7 who never was allowed to leave his last home. He moved into the English countryside with us and never saw so much of the great outdoors. With thousands of agriculture acreage on our doorstep, the walks were extensive. Only problem was not liking the lead....He's Chewed through eight in 4 years now. He's a grumpy old man and therefore a match made in heaven.

Making the move to Ireland he had to be sedated due to the unbearable noise he makes after 5 minutes of a car journey, but the pills didn't really work so 15 hours of a car and ferry journey later was bordering on suicidal for all of us. These full of life dogs are great to have around the place and mine is as loyal and as well tempered as any dog could be, given the amount of ear pulling and strangle hugs my daughter loves to give out – he doesn't bat an eyelid. Great guard dogs so I have found out loving to patrol the boundary of the property.....This One seems to have somewhat of an a acquired taste for foxes muck though...Hose And scrubber at the ready!
