My crazy and wonderful springer spaniel Charlie- not for everyone!

We have had our dog for 13 years, since birth. She has always been very high strung and anxious. She doesn't like other animals (gets shy and scared around them) and is often scared of strangers. At home, she can be quite aggressive with us if she doesn't want us to do something that we're doing. We have to muzzle her for grooming and if we need to do so something to her like put on antibiotic ointment. That being said, we love Charlie very much and she loves us. She loves attention and loves to be petted. She gets very excited when we come home, but she also gets very upset when we leave.

Another important note: Charlie has hated to eat kibble (dog food) since she was a puppy so we feed her organic quality home food like grilled chicken, orzo rice and corn. She loves to try new food. She is very healthy and doesn't have any grey hair even though she's black and white and is 13 years old. The picture below is one of her a month ago.
