Ralph was my very first legitimate pet (one which my parent approved of) and I had never had a dog of my own before, which is why I gave her a boy’s name, as I couldn't tell the difference between a male and a female. I was at boarding school on the day they brought her home, but we hit it off immediately when I got home and saw her for the first time. Extremely playful; she loved playing fetch and seemed to love sprinting at full speed when she got the chance. Even though she was small, she made a great guard/alarm dog too. I wasn’t around to witness it, but she apparently fought off and killed two cobra snakes, according to my parents, so yeah, great all-round family dog.
