Toby - the idiot

I got Toby in 2013. He's a lovely white color with brown spots. I guess I would say firstly that he's an absolute idiot - his main purpose was to be a hunting dog, but he just doesn't have the brains for it. Top of the line lap dog though! Can't stay away from guests he's even known 2 minutes, which makes him a terrible way to protect the house. He likes to go walking though, and now that he's trained to at least recognize gunshots, he doesn't go crazy anymore with the weird noises around him. His main love in life is to jump into tall grass and mud, making mine a hell of a lot harder. His fur is pretty thick, and clumps up with mud - if you're out walking all day - those clumps dry and have to be hand-rinsed out in a shower. Not to mention the smell. Being so thick furred, any exercise or a diet change and he's stinking, whether it comes out of his skin or elsewhere I don't know. Yet, I love my cockerspaniel, he's a great dog for the missus and my little one - just not the one I needed at the time! He hasn't got the brains for hunting!
